Don’t be intimidated by fresh produce! Sure, snapping a bushel of beans can be a daunting task, but when you’re making a meal for your family, you’ll only need to deal with about a pound. A little bit more work than opening a bag or can, but well worth it. When they’re in season, nothing beats the taste of fresh green beans. When buying string beans, look for fresh, bright green beans that snap sharply when broken in two.
