Meet Chef Toni
For many, making dinner for one family is drudgery. For Toni Scott, making dozens of meals for multiple families is an ideal way to spend the day...combine this with teaching others how to cook and you have the makings of dream come true. For this life-long "foodie," the role of personal chef and cooking instructor has been the perfect blend of her life's passions: delicious food and entrepreneurism.
As the founder and former owner of Austin Transcripts, Toni built a successful business utilizing skills gained over nearly a decade working for some of Austin's most important law firms.
While she enjoyed working for herself, she found that she was most passionate about food: searching for the most interesting and nutritious ingredients, drawing from international inspirations and family traditions rooted in Texas and Louisiana and creating memorable meals for friends and family. The best part of her day, she found, was making dinner!
In 2004, she embarked on a mission to use her entrepreneurial spirit to bring great food to busy families and in the summer of 2005, launched Dinner Made Simple Personal Chef Service. Every week, she makes hundreds of meals for families who have come to rely on her to create dishes that help them eat well and make more time for each other. When Toni's not preparing meals for her personal chef clients, she teaches cooking classes at an Austin-based kitchen store, sharing her indispensable tips and shortcuts with the students.
Chef Toni is a Certified Personal Chef, and a Premier Member of the United States Personal Chef Association. The USPCA ensures that its members follow a strict code of ethics towards the profession and their clients. Chef Toni is insured and ServSafe certified (trained in safe food handling).
