Storing Leftover Produce
If a recipe calls for 2 stalks of celery, for instance, resist the urge to put the leftover celery back into the vegetable crisper. Take a moment to chop it up and put it in a freezer bag for the freezer. The next time you need chopped celery, you’ll have it. Oh, and don’t forget to label the bag with a marker or labeling machine. Use the same technique with onions, bell pepper, and green onions. |
